Thank you for visiting our website! Silver Smith Genetics is owned and operated by Joe, Penny & Allison Smith in Emporia, Kansas. Allison purchased her first dorset ewe Lamb back in 2009, and that’s where it all started! From there our family started a small operation of Dorsets and Southdowns for the kid’s projects and local 4-Hers. Due to the deep roots of sheep producers in the family, the Smith Family grew into a 4th generation operation. The whole family grew a passion for producing Dorset show lambs, but we had the opportunity to take things to the next level when we met Kylar Lee. We are so blessed to have our family be so involved in our operation and the industry.

Silver Smith’s flock consist of 125 registered Dorset and Dorset Advantage. The Dorset Ewe base consist of females from GT Dorsets and Hurliman Club Lambs. We feel strongly about staying true to the breed by keeping our operation completely purebred. Our company works hard to provide high quality and competitive white sheep to not only hit the ring, but also go back to operations and produce elite Dorset and Dorset Advantage sheep.
